So most of us are familiar with creation, and how it is we as man came to be. God created Adam and Eve and then that crazy woman decided to listen to a talking snake and eat an apple from the tree, after which she did the woman thing and told Adam if he didn’t eat from it, no sex for weeks.  Long story short, they got thrown out of the garden for being disobedient and now here we are years later, cursed with sin and inherently evil.  I really hope that this isn’t the way Bill Gates feels, else his kids are in for years of pain.

According to a recent article on just about every website known to man, Bill Gates and his wife, do not allow their children to own anything Apple, specifically iPhones and iPods.

“There are very few things that are on the banned list in our household…But iPods and iPhones are two things we don’t get for our kids.”

Ok, I know that Steve Jobs is probably the single greatest competitor of Bill Gates, but doesn’t something like this beg the question of is bill scared?  To start, he no longer is the CEO of the company, and while he may be a symbol of the company, his children choosing to own whatever they want shouldn’t do a damn thing to his rep.  I mean Microsoft used Apple computers and Apple generated images to render those failures commercials of “I’m a PC and my computer sucks“, so what is the big deal with his kids owning the single greatest MP3 machine or cell phone?

I think poor Gates is afraid.  Maybe he is starting to come to terms with the fact that Macs work better than PCs and that the OS Macs use is a million time more stable than the garbage that took them five years to fail on.  Maybe it was the below image, which shows Safari to be a far superior web browser than Microsoft’s beloved Internet Explorer.103018-pc_benchmarks1_425Wait…say what?  These are the results based on use from a PC?  Makes me laugh.  Takes me back to when PC World wrote an article on the MacBook Pro and said that Vista ran the best on a MacBook Pro.  I have to laugh.

I can sit here for hours and post a 20 page paper on arguments, but I am not going too.  I’ll just mention things like Steve Ballmer laughing at the iPhone when it first came out and saying it was a joke, only to be wrong just months later when the the iPhone took 40% of all smartphone sales in a 3 month period after its release.  He was wrong even after that when the iPhone reached and passed its 10 million unit goal long before the end of 2008.  Maybe the App Store, where over 300 million apps were downloaded in the first month, is evidence to how wrong he is.  I even remember hearing him say the App Store was a joke and that no one would make money off of it.  Tell that the developer of Trism, who made $250,000 in the first three months of his apps release.

Bottom line, PCs suck, Macs rule.  If Gates wants to keep his kids from eating the Apple, then I hope he doesn’t throw them out of the house for choosing what they want.  Granted, in the long run, I like what ended up happening with God, I get free will, and happily choose to serve Him, but I think Gates might be making a mistake…..doesn’t he know God runs Mac OSX?

As I am sure many of you who follow sports might know, the Arizona Cardinals are going to the Super Bowl.  Yes, for the first time, a 9-7 team hosted a conference championship and is now going to the Super Bowl.  Congrats to them! They truly deserved it.

I think what I enjoy most about them is Kurt Warner.  He is truly an amazing person.  Going from grocery store clerk to Super Bowl Champion for the St. Louis Rams then going back to being tossed to now be going back for a chance to win a second Super Bowl; his story is amazing.

Talk about a man of faith, this guy never lost it for a second and the best part is he never once fails to thank God.  What is awesome is he has the numbers to back his feats.  He had a 4500+ yard season with 20+ TDs.  My applause to him.

My prediction for the Super Bowl?  Well I would love to quickly say Cardinals, but they are playing one of the best defenses in the league.  The nice thing about the Steelers is their secondary isn’t the best so Kurt may have a good chance of getting some big plays with Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin, we will have to wait and see, but expect a little less from James, as the Steeler defense may just eat him up (One of the best rushing defenses).

Tennis started as well.  I haven’t actually sat down and read or watched anything concerning it, however, expect something on that.  I happen to be a big time tennis freak.

Aside from that I really have little to talk about, I mean I have plenty of stuff, however, given time, I haven’t had a chance to sit down and put some thought into what I want to talk about.  The most obvious topic would be the doom inauguration of our next president tomorrow.  I can’t tell you how excited I am, I get front row tickets to the utter demise of this nation.

Church

In my usual mianderings online, I came across an interesting article on Yahoo!.  It really is funny the things some people try to pull off.  Here is the first paragraph from the article:

“WASHINGTON – President-elect Barack Obama wants to conclude his inaugural oath with the words “so help me God,” but a group of atheists is asking a federal judge to stop him.

California atheist Michael Newdow sued Chief Justice John Roberts in federal court for an injunction barring the use of those words in the inaugural oath.

Newdow and other atheists and agnostics also want to stop the use of prayers during the inaugural celebration.”

Hmmmmm, wait a second, I got it, ok everyone line up in a single file and get all our money, c’mon, all of it, and let’s shred it all.  Let’s go ahead and print new money, and while we are at it, let’s make new coins, rewrite every U.S. document, throw out about a couple hundred years of history, and start from scratch.  It might even be a good idea to burn all bibles too, because well we all remember what happened to Hitler  the last guy that did that.

Seriously, not to sound like a preacher sitting on his soap box preaching things down your throats, but are these people serious?  I’m doing my best to remain objective in this post, however, am finding it extremely difficult to do so seeing as some people will go to far lengths just to declare themselves free of all responsibility to anyone, especially a supreme being.  God forbid I go against the school board and try to ram the whole Creation thing down their throats, I am sure they would love that.

That’s what this whole thing is about.  Man’s innate nature to want to be free and be able to report to no one.  To be accountable to no one and to be able to live life as man sees fit, and seeing as man has such a good track record, I think it would be a great idea, nevertheless, I digress.

These people think it’s a great idea to go on a national and federal scale to go on and defy our fore fathers and all that this country was established on.  If my history serves me right, the original founders of this country left their respective countries where choice was granted to no one to come and create what we now call the free world.  Basing most of our foundations on the book that guy went and burned, these men created what we now know as the United States of America…one nation under GOD.

Granted anyone can see these types of things coming and I would assume it’s only going to get worse as the years progress, after all it is that same science that says all things go from order to chaos, which would completely defy the “fact” of evolution, but hey what do I know, I am just a sniveling little Christian boy, who thinks we ought to stay true to our roots and continue having God in the foundations of our country seemed to work well for Washington and his guys, might work the same for us, but then again, that would be using history to determine trends and predict cycles, and seeing as we are in this new era of “change” we shouldn’t do that.

I hope and pray that Christians around the world might do two things with this lawsuit.  1.) Be thankful for our persecution, after all it is a great honor and 2.) Just laugh it up, we will all have front row seats!

Oh George, you put it so well:

“Let us with caution indulge the supposition that morality can be maintained without religion. Reason and experience both forbid us to expect that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principle.” ~ George Washington

And I am a big advocate of freedom of religion by the way.  I have no problem with what or who you believe in, whether it be someone, something, or nothing, it’s still faith and you still believe in something.  I just don’t see how what once was the center of our government, our country, and our reason for existence, is now something which we strive so fervently to eliminate.  God be with Obama, if he even believes in you…
